I've been doing this with one more step - I do the scanning using
Imaging for Windows - Professional Edtion from Eastman Software (now
eiStream WMS, Inc.). It does a really nice job of supporting the
scanning process, letting you easily rescan a page, insert, delete, and
view the scan results. I then just save the multi-page TIFF file, and
reopen it in FineReader (with dual page mode turned on) and I'm ready to
edit.

Eric. I do this in a slightly different manner. Delete the undesirable pages.
Select the pages from there to the end. Renumber these starting with a value
large enough to leave room for the pages that you want to insert. (This also
allows me to insert pages that I had inadvertently omitted.) Then scan the
replacement pages. Renumber them to place them in their proper place.
It is all very tedious. Much better would be to drag and drop as in
omnipage.
